The number of electric cars and plug-in hybrids is increasing rapidly, which is fantastic!
Here we have gathered some practical information for those of you who are wondering how to charge your electric car during your stay at Valle Camping.
It is FORBIDDEN to CONNECT A CAR TO THE OUTLET at the campsite
We are working hard to find a solution to help those who want to charge their electric car during their stay at Valle Camping, but the way the grid is designed today, it is unfortunately not possible to allow charging of cars if we are to guarantee a functioning electricity supply to the entire site.
The Swedish Electrical Safety Agency advises against regular charging in ordinary wall and engine heater sockets and until we have proper chargers for electric cars, it is strictly forbidden to plug in an electric car or charging hybrid to our electric sockets. This applies to all outlets throughout the campsite.
So how do you go about charging your car?
Fast chargers in Axvall
At the shop in Axvall, a few kilometres from Valle Camping, the local electricity company Valle energi has installed a 50 kW charger (CCS/CHAdeMO). In fact, it’s currently the charger with the best speed over several miles. (Skövde has a 175 kW CCS).
After a shopping trip to ICA and a pizza at Pizzeria Barcelona nearby, you’ve probably got enough charge with the help of this charger. Park & Charge handles the charging.
