THIS PRIVACY POLICY IS PROVIDED IN SWEDISH AND HAS BEEN TRANSLATED INTO MULTIPLE LANGUAGES TO FACILITATE UNDERSTANDING. HOWEVER, THE SWEDISH VERSION IS THE LEGALLY BINDING TEXT. IN CASE OF ANY DISCREPANCIES OR TRANSLATION ERRORS, THE SWEDISH ORIGINAL SHALL PREVAIL.

Personal data refers to any information that can be directly or indirectly linked to a living natural person. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how and for what purposes we process your Personal Data.

We process your Personal Data when you use our services as set out below. Your privacy is important to us and we comply at all times with applicable laws designed to protect you as an individual. This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which we process the Personal Data you provide to us or that we collect about you when you use any of our services. Valle Camping is engaged in, among other things, the rental of cottages and camping sites and we process Personal Data mainly to process your bookings, administer, provide, develop and maintain our various services, optimise your experience of the services and to communicate with you. If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you, for example, through our website. If you provide us with Personal Data about other persons, you are responsible for allowing us to process the Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

HOW WE COLLECT AND PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Valle camping only processes your Personal Data in accordance with applicable law. We may collect Personal Data directly from you when you use one of our services (e.g. book a cottage). We may also receive and transfer Personal Data about you from partners (e.g. if you have used a booking service to book a cottage). We use various methods such as cookies, email, customer surveys and customer service to collect Personal Data about you. Depending on the Service you use, the method of collection and the purpose of processing may vary.

Valle Camping will process your Personal Data for the purposes set out below, as well as the purposes described to you in connection with the services you use. If we are explicitly required by law to obtain consent from you, we will obtain consent before processing takes place.

THESE PERSONAL DATA WE PROCESS AND WHY?

Manage booking

If you book a cottage, campsite or hostel room with us, we process your Personal Data for the purpose of providing, managing, administering, monitoring and charging for your booking. This includes our processing for the purpose of reminding or informing you of your booking in connection with your stay.

It is essential that you provide the information we request in order for us to process your booking. When you make a booking for another person, you are responsible to us for having the permission of that other person or persons for Valle Camping to process their Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Your Personal Data and other information about your booking may be transferred to one of our subcontractors (such as our providers of IT services, booking systems, analysis, advertising, and statistical services) within and outside the EU/EEA.

We process this personal data:

  • Identity data e.g. first and last name
  • Contact details e.g. e-mail address, telephone number, mobile phone number, address, nationality
  • IP address/cookies (if you book through our website)

How long we store your data:
We store your data for 12 months after your stay has ended. If you have chosen to receive ongoing information from us (offers, newsletters, follow us on social media, etc.), however, your details will be saved longer under your profile in our systems/booking systems to ensure that your personal details remain for the next time you make a reservation.

Manage personal data through consent, newsletter subscription, or based on legitimate interests.

If you have chosen to follow us in the form of, for example, subscribing to our news or have given consent for such processing, we will process your personal data to provide, manage, administer, follow up and maintain your subscription. This includes our processing of your Personal Data for the purposes of informing, communicating and responding to requests from you. We may also contact you to ask you to ensure that your details are correct and up to date.

By subscribing to our news, we can provide you with more flexible and personalised offers and experiences. We use your profile to create relevant offers and information about our Services that we send to you.

If you use our services, we may process your Personal Data for the purpose of sending you newsletters with relevant information and offers, such as. by letter, e-mail or through our digital channels, as long as a customer relationship exists between you and Valle Camping. We may also send you surveys to give you the opportunity to influence our service offerings. How long we store your data:
For as long as the customer relationship with you exists or until your subscription ends, and for a period of 12 months thereafter, or earlier if you object to further processing. If the processing is based on consent, the data will be retained until you withdraw your consent.

As a result of a law, a court order or a decision by a public authority, we may process your personal data in order to comply with a legal obligation, e.g. according to tax laws, accounting laws, decisions of the police or other authorities.

We may process your Personal Data for the purpose of handling various forms of customer service issues, such as responding to, assisting, following up or managing your case. This includes all communications required to answer any questions you may have put to our customer service via phone, email, social media, forms, surveys or any of our other communication channels. The personal data processing that is covered within the framework of this purpose is our right to investigate various forms of complaints, reclamations or support cases, including all technical support and opportunities to process information for the development and improvement of the business.

Video surveillance

e use surveillance cameras with recording of both video and audio to prevent, deter, and investigate crimes and vandalism, as well as to prevent accidents. The material is solely used for the purpose described above and not for profiling individuals. If there is no suspicion of a crime or vandalism, the footage is stored for a maximum of 72 hours; otherwise, it is retained until a report has been filed with the police or another law enforcement agency. To protect privacy, we have implemented various organizational and technical measures. The placement and shielding of cameras have also been done to minimize intrusion into personal privacy and the collection of personal information. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Your Personal Data will be kept for as long as necessary to fulfil the various purposes of our processing. We will then securely delete or de-identify your Personal Data so that it can no longer be linked to you. Under each of the treatments listed above, there is a defined storage period. The storage period is extended in the event of new cases or consent.

Valle Camping deletes Personal Data in accordance with the law applicable at the time and according to the criteria set out above. This means, for example, that we erase or de-identify your Personal Data when the purpose of the processing is fulfilled.

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA AND COMPANIES WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

We may share your Personal Data with third parties. As stated above, your Personal Data may be transferred to companies in the form of our subcontractors within and outside the EU/EEA.

In order to fulfil the purposes of our processing of your Personal Data, we may use the services of other companies to fulfil our obligations to you. For this reason, we share your Personal Data with companies that provide services to Valle camping, such as, but not limited to, our subcontractors for websites, telephony, customer service, payment services, forwarding services, booking systems, analysis services, communication, marketing, marketing materials, etc.

Valle camping may also share your Personal Data with companies that manage the operation, storage, technical support and maintenance of our IT solutions. Furthermore, we may also disclose your Personal Data to various payment service providers in order to collect payment from you. Our subcontractors will only process your Personal Data in accordance with our instructions and may not use your Personal Data for their own purposes. They, like us, are required by law to protect your Personal Data from unauthorised access or other intrusion.

We will never sell your Personal Data and we will always enter into contracts with the companies that process your Personal Data on our behalf. This is in order to ensure a proper level of security for the processing of personal data. We may, where appropriate, transfer your Personal Data to recipients other than those listed above if necessary to fulfil the purposes set out below.

Our Services may contain links to other websites or apps that are not under our control. This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of Valle Camping’s own services. Valle Camping is not responsible for the content of linked websites and the processing of Personal Data that may be carried out by their owners or operators.

We use cookies which in some cases automatically collect your Personal Data (e.g. IP address and behavioral patterns). We and our third-party providers use these cookies (necessary, functional and performance) in order to improve your experience and the security of our digital services. Personal data that we collect via cookies may be anonymized and used in aggregated form for development purposes, statistics, marketing and analysis or for other not yet categorized purposes (analysis, advertising and others).

Access to personal data

You have the right to request free of charge confirmation from us that we are processing your personal data, as well as access to the personal data we process about you, together with information about the processing and your rights in connection therewith, a so-called excerpt from our records.
